Find a student business, check what they charge and how they work, message them, then review them once your appointment is done. Running something yourself? List it for free.
Looking for something
Hair, nails, food, photography and more, all run by students.
- Pick a categoryChoose a category, then the type you need, like Barbers or Braids. Search and sort from there.
- Check the profileSee prices, photos, reviews and how fast they usually reply. Tap the highlights for late fees and policies.
- Message themPick what you want from their menu and it goes into a message with the total. Chats stay on the Board.
- Review after your appointmentOnce the business marks your appointment complete, you can leave one review.
Running something
A side hustle, a small business, or a society. Free to list, always.
- Make a business accountSign up and choose “a student running a business”, or switch from your student account in your dashboard.
- Add your listingYour menu and prices, policies, a profile picture, a cover picture and up to four photos of your work.
- Reply to customersMessages land in your inbox. Your average reply time shows on your profile, so quick replies help.
- Mark appointments completeDo it from the chat. It lets that customer leave you a review, and your dashboard keeps count.
Why you can trust the reviews
Only students who have had an appointment can leave a review, and only one per business. The business marks the appointment complete, not the customer, so reviews come from real visits.
Featured and sponsored spots
Businesses can pay to appear in the featured spots on the home page. They are always marked “Sponsored”, they only show when they match the category you picked, and they never change a business’s reviews or rating.
Staying safe
- Keep chats on the Board so there is a record.
- Never send card or bank details in a message.
- Use Report in any chat if something feels wrong.
- We list businesses, we don't vet them. Check reviews and photos before you book.
Questions
Does it cost anything?
No. Browsing, messaging and listing are all free.
What does “Sponsored” mean?
The business paid to be shown in a featured spot. Everything else on the Board, including search results, ratings and reviews, is the same for every business.
Who can list?
Any student running a business or a society. You need a business account to list.
Is this run by a university?
No. The Board is made by students. It is not an official university or students’ union service, and it is open to students from any university.
Can I review a business I haven't used?
No. Reviews unlock once the business marks your appointment complete, so every review comes from a real customer.
Can I have a student account and a business?
Yes. A business account can still message other businesses. Use “My enquiries” in Messages to see those chats.
How do I change or remove my listing?
Contact us using the details on our privacy notice for now. Editing from your dashboard is coming.
How do I delete my account or get a copy of my data?
Go to your profile and use “Your data”. You can download everything we hold about you, or delete your account.
